Attendance

Our aim is for the children at Farnworth CE Primary School to receive the best possible education and for each child to achieve his/her full potential.

In order for us to achieve our aim, each child needs to attend School, on time, every day, unless the reason for absence is unavoidable.  It is the parent/carers’ legal duty to ensure that their child has a good attendance record and failure to do so can lead to prosecution (Education Act 1996 Section 444) and can delay progress and continuity of the learning of their child.

We aim to encourage 100% attendance in School.  Where children fall below the expected 95% attendance, their families will be supported to ensure an excellent attendance record.

Holiday in Term Time

Our School does not encourage holidays to be taken in term time, unless there is an exceptional circumstance.

Any requests for Leave of Absence should be done through completing the following form.
